We are thrilled to have chartered the M/V Galapagos Sky for a Scubagetaway led adventure.

Each day will begin with a cooked-to-order breakfast, buffet lunch and gourmet dinner. The exceptional crew round out our days with mid-morning and afternoon snacks to keep us fueled for more dives, and each cabin is fitted with your comfort in mind.

The Galapagos Islands are a National Park and Marine Sanctuary. Over 90 percent of the land and all of the waters are protected. You’ll be visiting a part of the world which has changed little since the time of Charles Darwin. It’s unique location at the confluence of three major currents make it one of the busiest, fishiest, and magical underwater places on earth. Discover the magic of Galapagos Diving on your next live-aboard cruise with ScubaGetaway and Galapagos Sky – see for yourself why many divers feel Galapagos is truly “the best diving” in the world.

The animals that live here have not evolved with a sense of fear for humans, so when you are in the water with them they do not mind at all. In fact, you will find that most of the marine life in these waters are surprisingly friendly and curious. There are 28 different shark species that can be found in these waters. Although hammerhead sharks can be seen in all dive sites of the Galapagos, the best place to see the famous schools of hundreds of hammers is at the remote Islands of Wolf and Darwin. Whale sharks also like to frequent these distant sites, these creatures can measure 6 to 60 feet in length but are gentle giants. More fish species of all shapes, colours, and sizes then you can imagine are abundant here. You can find yourself completed surrounded by massive schools of fish, or up close with a red-lipped batfish. Another rare highlight only seen in the Galapagos are the marine iguanas. This is the only place in the world to have these reptiles swimming in the water diving for food.

Typically, diving the Galapagos archipelago is more appropriate for advanced divers, those who feel comfortable in deeper waters with varying currents and conditions. The Galapagos Islands offer drift dives, deep dives, reef dives, and, of course, the famous hammerhead shark dives.
