Practice Session

Practice sessions are available to any certified diver that can provide proof of dive certification from any diving agency. A practice session is an opportunity for divers to try out new equipment or practice skills. Practice sessions are not supervised by a TSC dive professional. Divers will be required to sign a liability of release waiver.

A practice session is great if you want to do any of the following

• Practice setting up or testing your equipment
• Giant stride entry into deep water
• Basic skills like mask clearing
• Buoyancy
• Ascents and descents – equalization
• Emergency skills like alternate air source and CESA (Controlled Emergency Safety Ascent) if you bring a buddy!!
• You just want to get in the water!

Divers need to be able to show proof of certification and sign a liability release waiver which will be sent on completion of sign-up.

Although some divers have their own tanks and weights, TSC does include them in the course fee. The course fee is fixed. Tanks supplied by TSC will be air tanks only and are aluminum 80’s. Divers can request how much weight they need. BCDs and regulators can be rented in store if needed. Divers will need to provide their own mask, fins and snorkel for practice sessions and divers are also required to pick up and return all gear supplied for the session. Should divers require only a tank and weights, these items can be left at the pool, and we will return them for you.

Please note that dive professionals are not provided for practice sessions. If a student requires instruction or guidance of any kind, the refresher course is available and should be chosen instead.
