Servicing your BCD is as important as servicing any of your other dive equipment.
Whilst the job of your BCD is to simply keep you positively buoyant at the surface and neutrally buoyant beneath the surface, over time the inside of your BCD and the moving parts of your BCD will need cleaning or replacement to keep it operating safely when you are diving. BCD’s will be tested for inflation, deflation and holding air. The inside of your BCD will also be cleaned and all dump valves will be checked to make sure they are operating correctly.
