The Toronto Scuba Centre had an opportunity last week to get some dives in for fun up in Brockville. Despite somewhat chillier waters (yes, we even had to use our gloves for the first time this year and wear two piece 7mm wetsuits!), the diving was fantastic. Often with colder waters, the visibility improves and while this is not a constant up in Brockville, this once it was fantastic.
Every dive, the wrecks sat there in perfect calmness, waiting as we made our way down the lines to discover them anew. A bit of a current on a couple of them, but out of the number of times we’ve made the trip up the road to Brockville, we’ve never descended to such awesome silhouettes of the ships.
Kicking myself in hindsight, I should have brought an underwater camera with me, but luckily one of our divers, Scott, brought his. While he didn’t take it with him on every dive, he got some awesome shots on one our best dives, The Keystorm.
Here are some of his shots:
…..and the struggle continues on determining a location, timeframe and price for where we can set-up our first TSC scuba trip. We’re still looking for the end of October or the beginning of November, but the options as to where are totally up in the air. The front-runners are Curacao, BVI, Caymans and Panama. Thoughts anyone?
